FictionFusion guide

Account, models, and usage

Your account holds your books and profile settings. New members receive a shared-key AI trial, and you can add your own OpenRouter API key when you want to continue with your OpenRouter account.

Account, models, and usage in FictionFusion

Account settings

Open your avatar to change your name, username, email address, avatar, or password. The settings page also shows your remaining trial balance.

Trial balance and model access

Each new member receives a $1.00 trial. While it remains, AI requests use the FictionFusion OpenRouter key and their logged model cost is deducted from the trial balance. Model availability and pricing may change, so use the current model list and Usage page as the source of truth.

Use your own OpenRouter key

A saved key is encrypted and used for AI generation requests on your account. Requests made with it are billed by OpenRouter rather than deducted from your FictionFusion trial balance.

1

Open My Books.

2

Select API Key Settings when the AI-book feature is enabled.

3

Enter your OpenRouter key and select Save Key.

4

Remove the key from the same dialog to return to the default access method.

Read the Usage page

Usage shows trial balance left, trial credit used, and total tokens. Each log identifies the date, model, request type, funding source, prompt and completion tokens, and estimated prompt and completion cost.

Good to know

  • User Key means the request used your OpenRouter key.
  • Trial means the request used the shared FictionFusion OpenRouter key and consumed trial balance.

Common questions

A token is a small unit of text processed by a language model. Prompt tokens are sent to the model; completion tokens are generated in the response. Token-to-word ratios vary by language and content.

Cost depends on the selected model and the number of prompt and completion tokens. Longer context, longer requested output, and more expensive models increase cost.

Add a valid OpenRouter key to continue using AI tools through your OpenRouter account. You can continue writing and using non-AI features without making an AI request.
