Don't Forget, The Travesty Part 3 - Katy's Past, Revealed.
"*Sigh* I never thought I'd get back here..." Katy says, looking at the not very crowded streets. "I wonder why is it so empty, isn't Palm City supposed to be bustling?"
"What's wrong, Miss? Did something happen?" asked the taxi driver, looking at Katy curiously.
Katy didn't respond, instead she looked around the area as if she saw something that surprised her. "Where's everyone, Larry? I remember this city having tons of people! And I remember the streetlights were so bright!"
Larry shook his head. "Miss, I'm sorry but from what I've heard, the population actually spread around the state of Mansk. So yes, the city is definitely emptier than you remember." He explained.
"Oh my God... I can't believe it," Katy murmured in disbelief. She had always associated Palm City with its vibrant nightlife and bustling streets full of people. It was one of the main reasons she left her hometown to come here in the first place - for a change of scenery. But now that she saw it empty like this, it felt like all too familiar - just like how she used to feel during those dark days when everything seemed bleak and hopeless.
Larry continued driving through the quiet city streets while Katy remained lost in thought. Suddenly, she perked up as she noticed something off in the distance. "Wait Larry," she said abruptly. "Stop the car."
The taxi driver looked at her curiously but obliged nonetheless. As they pulled over, Katy jumped out of the car and ran towards the direction she had seen before. Her heart racing with excitement and nostalgia, it felt like time stood still for a moment until she finally reached her destination - her old school.
As soon as she stepped onto the grounds, memories flooded back to haunt her once again. The places where she used to hang out with friends, laugh and have fun were now abandoned and forgotten. It was all too quiet here. But that didn't stop her from trying to find someone, anyone who could give her some answers about what happened to her dearest companions. She searched every corner of the building but found no trace of them anywhere...until she stumbled upon something unexpected.
A small piece of paper lying on the ground caught her eye. Curiously, she picked it up only to realize it was a note written in her own handwriting - Honoka's! Katy couldn't believe it! Her heart skipped a beat as she read the words scribbled in pink ink: "Katy, I miss you so much and hope we can meet soon. Please come find me at our usual spot that big tree."
Tears filled Katy's eyes as she realized that there might still be some sign of life left here after all. "Honoka... How did this letter...?" She muttered. "... Got here...?" Katy thought, before quickly turned around and headed back to the cab.
"Let's go, Larry."
"Where are we going now?" asked Larry.
"Back to the apartment," answered Katy. "I need to get something."
"Okay, Miss."
After an hour, Katy arrived at her apartment complex. She paid the fare before getting out of the taxi and rushing inside her apartment. She got her colored pearl necklace, a gift from Honoka herself.
She controls her urge to cry, as she returned to the taxi. "Here your... Your payment..." Katy said, handing 50 royals to Larry, as her hands trembled and she held her tears.
Larry took the money from her hand without saying anything, and then drove away. It felt weird for Katy to see this old apartment building looking so lifeless and deserted like it used to do. It was even more eerie to think that she hadn't spent one single day here for almost a decade now.
Without any hesitation, she rushed towards the designated meeting place determined more than ever before to reunite with her friends and rekindle their friendship once again. As she finally reached the spot she saw Honoka sitting on a bench nearby, waiting for her. The moment they locked eyes was enough to melt even the coldest heart. They embraced each other tightly, both crying tears of joy and relief. It felt like time had stood still yet again until they were interrupted by someone else - Shunichi.
Katy's heart sank as he approached them menacingly. She knew what he wanted from the very beginning but decided not to let him ruin this special moment anymore. With all the strength within her, she faced him head-on and told him exactly how it is: "You think you can come back into my life after what you did? You think I would ever forgive you for raping me, and destroying everything I held dear?" Her voice echoed through the empty streets, resonating with every inch of pain and anger bottled up inside her.
Shunichi looked at Katy surprised - never had anyone dared to confront him like that before. But even so, he didn't show any sign of remorse or guilt; eyes darkened with a sense of entitlement as if he believed he was above everyone else. "Hmpf. Are you crazy? Did you lose your brain cells or something? I can call my security and deal with you at any moment, bitch!" He threatened.
"No you won't! Because if you do, I will kill you, your gang, and your loved one with my own hands, you son of a bitch!" Katy responded, keeping her eyes fixed on his menacing ones.
For once in her life, she wasn't backing down, she was simply pointing out the obvious. Shunichi looked shocked, his face contorting with rage.
Katy knew she couldn't let this slide anymore...she had to take action now or else it would be too late. And so, without further hesitation, she took out her gun and shot Shunichi right between the eyes. The sound echoed throughout the empty streets until everything fell silent once again.
Katy stood there for what felt like an eternity, taking in every moment of that encounter before finally turning around to face Honoka who was watching her with teary eyes filled with fear as she couldn't believe what her eyes saw.
But instead of seeing shock on her friend's face, Katy sees relief mixed with a sigh of comfort. She knew this is something that needed to be done; if not now then later it would eat away at their friendship piece by peaceful piecing together slowly over time. This way they could move forward and heal from the past without holding onto it too tightly or letting it consume them whole like an infected wound left untreated for too long causing infection to spread through out the body making it impossible to live as normal life.
Knowing what has just happened was not easy but it had to happen to put justice on her friend's behalf, she looked back into Shunichi's dead eyes and knew this is a burden that will never leave her. She won't be able to forget those dark moments of terror forever but at least now her friends are safe, free, and away from danger no more harm would come upon them.
"I swear, Honoka... I swear with all my heart that I'll protect each and every one of you until the end. No one will ever hurt us again... Not like him! Never again!" Katy's voice trembled with tears as she held Honoka close, a fierce determination burning in her eyes.
"You're right, Katy-chan," Honoka whispered, her own tears streaming down her face as she clung tightly to Katy. Her heart swelled with a whirlwind of emotions, threatening to overwhelm her.
After a few minutes, Katy gently released the embrace, wiping her eyes and offering a tender smile to Honoka. "So, what was it you wanted to ask me?"
Honoka's expression shifted, disbelief etched across her face as she stared at Katy. "I... I honestly didn't expect you to find it."
Katy's smile grew warmer, her eyes filled with a mischievous twinkle as she revealed the secret she had uncovered. "Well, my dear, I may be a bit of a rogue, but I always keep my promises to those who matter most in this world." She let out a small chuckle, fully aware of her rebellious nature. Deep down, however, she possessed a strong sense of honor and integrity, even if others failed to see or understand it.
Honoka then, looked at Katy, like if searching for something.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
Honoka then answered with a heavy weight in her heart. "I'm sorry, Katy-chan... It was all my fault."
Katy didn't understand what she meant, and stood in place, looking at her saddened friend.
"You... Your decision to leave school back at 2015... It was all my fault! If I was a complete slut, you---"
Honoka then is interrupted by Katy's delicate and caring embrace.
Katy knew that it wasn't Honoka's fault but Shunichi's actions were his alone not hers or anyone else for that matter. She understood the weight of guilt and shame that can come with being victimized; she had experienced those emotions herself after what happened to her. But now was time to let go of them so they could heal together as friends and move forward towards brighter days ahead without fear holding them back from living their lives freely.
"It wasn't your fault, Honoka-chan." Katy whispered softly into her ear. "You didn't deserve any of this, none of us did. We all have our own paths and we make choices based on the experiences we face along the way. Sometimes those choices are good sometimes not but it doesn't mean that we should be blamed for something out of our control."
Honoka looked up at Katy with tearful eyes filled with gratitude and understanding; she knew that Katy truly meant every word she said to her. It was a burden lifted off her shoulders that had been holding her back from moving forward towards healing and living her life fully without fear or shame.
"Thank you, Katy-chan... For everything," Honoka whispered as they embraced each other tightly once again. They both needed this moment of comfort and support from one another after all the pain and trauma they've experienced in their pasts.
But even though it wasn't easy for them to move on, they knew that together they could overcome anything if they stuck by each other through thick and thin no matter what challenges came their way.
"The decision of leaving was totally mine. I just couldn't bear staying on school, only to be judged by people if I got pregnant. Even if I know that I wasn't at the time, I still believe it was for the best for me." Katy smiled at Honoka, wiping the remaining tear streaks off her cheek.
"I missed you a lot." She whispered, trying to suppress her sniffling.
Katy could understand why Honoka made such a difficult choice; she had felt similar pressures herself when dealing with the aftermath of what happened to them all those years ago. But now they were both older and wiser women who knew how to navigate through life's challenges together instead of letting fear hold them back from living their lives fully.
"I missed you too, Honoka-chan," Katy said softly as she brushed away the remaining tears from her friend's cheeks with gentle fingers. "But I know that we will always have each other no matter where our paths may lead us." She smiled warmly at Honoka, feeling a sense of comfort and security in their friendship knowing that they had made it this far despite everything they had been through.
Knowing that they were both strong enough to face any obstacle that came their way gave them hope for a bright future filled with endless possibilities. And even though there would be hardships along the way, they knew that together they could overcome anything if they stuck by one another and never lost sight of their shared goals and dreams.
"So," Katy said after taking a deep breath, "What do you want to do now? Shall we go explore Palm City together?" She offered Honoka her hand as a gesture of friendship and solidarity knowing that they needed each other more than ever right now in this moment of healing and growth.
"That sounds like a plan," Honoka smiled happily as she reached out and linked her pinkies with Katy's as she stood up from the ground.
Together, they walked out of the abandoned alley and headed towards the nearest bus stop to begin their journey together, the future uncertain.
Katy felt a sense of joy and excitement bubble up within her at the thought of exploring Palm City with her friend once again; it was truly a beautiful city filled with endless possibilities and opportunities for them both. And even though they had faced many challenges in their past, they knew that by standing side by side they could overcome anything if they worked hard enough towards achieving their goals and dreams.
As they made their way towards the nearby bus station, Katy couldn't help but feel grateful for having Honoka as a friend who understood her on such a deep level despite everything they had been through together. It wasn't easy to find someone who could empathize so deeply with one's pain and trauma, but somehow they found each other at just the right time when they needed it most.
Together they boarded the bus, ready to take on whatever life threw their way next whether it be good or bad knowing that no matter what happened they would always have each other by their side.
As the bus rolled along the empty streets, Honoka glanced at Katy with a curious expression. She couldn't help but wonder about the missing pieces of Katy's life during the past decade. Finally, unable to contain her curiosity any longer, Honoka leaned closer and gently asked, "Katy, I've always wondered where you were all these years. Can you tell me what happened?"
Katy hesitated for a moment, her gaze fixed on the passing scenery outside the window. A mix of emotions flickered across her face, as if reliving memories long kept hidden. Finally, she took a deep breath and turned to Honoka, her voice filled with a hint of remorse.
"Honoka, I became a rogue bounty ranger in 2016," Katy confessed, her voice tinged with a mix of excitement and regret. "After everything we went through, I felt the need to find a purpose, to make a difference in the world. So, I embarked on a journey to track down and bring justice to those who threatened innocent lives, or so I thought."
Honoka's eyes widened in surprise, her curiosity growing even stronger. "A rogue bounty ranger?" she repeated, trying to grasp the concept. "That sounds incredibly dangerous, Katy. How did you manage?"
Katy smiled faintly, her eyes glimmering with determination. "It wasn't easy, Honoka. I faced numerous challenges and encountered dangerous individuals. But I was driven by a desire to protect the innocent and ensure that justice was served. I honed my skills, trained tirelessly, and became adept at tracking down the most elusive criminals."
Honoka listened intently, captivated by Katy's newfound path. She admired her friend's courage and resilience, understanding that sometimes one had to make unconventional choices to find purpose and make a difference in the world.
"Katy, I had no idea," Honoka said softly, a mix of awe and concern in her voice. "But I'm proud of you for finding your calling and taking on such a challenging role. You've always had a strong sense of justice, and it's inspiring to see you channel that into something so impactful."
Katy nodded gratefully, appreciating Honoka's understanding and support. "Thank you, Honoka. It wasn't an easy decision, and I've had my fair share of doubts along the way. But I believe that as long as we stay true to ourselves and fight for what we believe in, we can make a difference, no matter how small."
As the bus rumbled on, the two friends sat in a comfortable silence, the weight of their shared experiences and newfound revelations hanging in the air. They knew that their friendship had only grown stronger through the trials they faced separately, and now, united once again, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, side by side.
Katy felt relieved and grateful to have such an understanding friend like Honoka who was willing to listen without judgment or criticism. It wasn't easy for her to open up about such personal things; she kept them hidden away from everyone but herself until the right moment presented itself. And with Honoka being there, Katy could finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that someone understood what it meant to be on this journey towards healing path together.
Together, they continued their conversation as the bus made its way through the city streets filled with different people from all walks of life. Palm City was indeed diverse in terms of culture and society which gave them a sense of hope and inspiration to keep moving forward despite everything that happened to them both during those traumatic moments years ago.
As time passed by, they arrived at one of the famous landmarks called the Ocean Park located near the coastal line where tourists usually flock for sunsets or strolls along the beach boardwalk. They decided to take their own time exploring the park together while taking selfies on every corner and enjoying the scenery around them. It felt like a perfect way to unwind from all the heavy emotions and just enjoy each other's company without any distractions or worries.
Later in the evening, Honoka had to head back home. Katy and her friend, Honoka, stood at the entrance of Ocean Park, their hearts filled with gratitude and a sense of renewed friendship. The gentle breeze rustled their hair as they exchanged heartfelt words of appreciation.
"Thank you, Honoka," Katy said, her voice filled with sincerity. "I can't express how grateful I am for your support during such a difficult moment in my life. You've been there for me through thick and thin, and I want you to know that our friendship means the world to me."
Honoka smiled, her eyes shining with warmth. "Katy, you don't have to thank me. True friends are always there for each other, no matter the distance or circumstances. I promise you, no matter what happens, even if we're far away from one another, we'll always be friends. Our bond is unbreakable."
Tears welled up in Katy's eyes as she embraced Honoka tightly. "Thank you, thank you so much. I feel so blessed to have you in my life. Let's cherish this friendship forever."
As they released each other from the embrace, they both knew that their friendship had reached a new level of strength and commitment. They continued their stroll through Ocean Park, hand in hand, enjoying the beauty around them while holding onto the promise they had made. No matter where life took them, they knew their friendship would endure, or so they believed that.
And so, as the sun began to set over the horizon, casting a warm golden glow on their faces, Katy and Honoka walked side by side, but Honoka's heart fluttered with uncertainty as she walked beside Katy, her thoughts consumed by a newfound realization. "I... I think I might be in love with Katy..."
The revelation startled her, surprising her and making her blush deeply with embarrassment. She immediately looked away, hoping that her reaction didn't show on her face, her feelings for Katy had transcended the boundaries of friendship, and she couldn't help but consider the possibility of love blossoming between them.
With each passing moment, Honoka's mind became more entangled in a whirlwind of emotions. Should she reveal her true feelings and risk potentially changing their friendship forever? Or should she keep her heart's desires hidden, fearing the consequences of unrequited love?
As the sun began to set, casting a warm and gentle glow over the park, Honoka mustered up the courage to speak her truth. She stopped walking and turned to face Katy, her heart pounding with nervous anticipation.
"Katy," Honoka whispered, her voice tinged with vulnerability, "There's something on my mind that I need to share with you."
Katy looked at her friend, concern etched across her face. "What is it, Honoka? You know you can tell me anything."
Taking a deep breath, Honoka stepped closer to Katy, her eyes glistening with both fear and hope. She reached out, gently cupping Katy's face in her hands. "I've been wrestling with these feelings for a while now, and I can't deny them any longer. Katy, I think I might be falling in love with you."
Katy's eyes widened in surprise, her lips slightly parting. "Oh, Honoka, I..."
Before Katy could finish her sentence, Honoka leaned in, closing the distance between them, and softly pressed her lips against Katy's. Time seemed to stand still as their hearts beat in unison, the weight of their unspoken emotions finally finding release.
As their kiss lingered, Honoka pulled away, her eyes searching Katy's face for a response. Uncertainty and anticipation filled the air, their friendship hanging in the balance.
Katy's expression softened, her eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and contemplation. She gently placed her hand on Honoka's cheek, her touch conveying both tenderness and reassurance.
"Honoka," Katy whispered, her voice filled with warmth and sincerity, "I never realized the depth of my own feelings until this moment. Your courage has opened my eyes to a truth I've been afraid to confront. I believe our friendship has the potential to blossom into something truly beautiful."
A smile tugged at the corners of Honoka's lips as relief washed over her. She had taken a leap of faith, and in return, she discovered that love had bloomed between them. With their unbreakable bond as a foundation, Katy and Honoka embarked on a new chapter in their lives, embracing the power of love and friendship intertwining.
As the sun set behind them, casting a golden glow upon their intertwined hands, Katy and Honoka walked forward together, their hearts filled with hope, love, and the unbreakable bond that had brought them to this moment.
The sunset was indeed breathtaking; it painted the skyline with different shades of orange and pink, making everything look more vibrant and alive than before. It felt like an appropriate time for them both to acknowledge what they were feeling towards each other.
Katy's heart was racing fast as she heard those words escaping her friend's lips. She never expected such a confession from someone who has always been there for her during hard times. But deep down inside, Katy knew that Honoka meant a lot to her. They had shared so much together, and their connection was deeper than just friends. And now hearing those three words made everything seem real and tangible.
As they continued walking hand in hand, the city lights began turning on one by one casting a warm glow over them both. It felt like time stood still while they enjoyed each other's presence without saying anything at all; it seemed enough just being beside each other sharing this special moment of admission.
Katy could feel her heart thumping wildly against her chest as she tried to process what Honoka meant for her life. She knew that there were no guarantees and things might not work out between them due to their different paths in lives. But even so, Katy didn't want to lose such an amazing friend who had become more than someone she considered a sister or bestfriend but also the one person whom she was falling deeply in love with.
Their relationship grew stronger day by day, and they both felt a sense of comfort and security within each other. They shared deep conversations about their pasts which gave them a better understanding of themselves and how it shaped them into who they are today. And now knowing that Honoka loved her too made everything feel right and complete.
As they continued walking through Palm City, they knew that this journey together would always be remembered as a turning point not only for Katy's life but also Honoka's. It had been a long road to healing, but there was finally hope on the horizon filled with love and friendship intertwining.

(11/04/2026)
Honoka had always been dedicated to her daily exercise routine, finding solace and clarity in the physical activity. However, today was different. As she finished her morning run, a feeling nagged at her, urging her to change her plans and pay a visit to Katy instead.
Honoka, filled with a sense of urgency, followed her intuition and decided to prioritize her connection with Katy over her usual exercise routine. She quickly changed into more casual attire and made her way to Katy's home.
Upon arriving, Honoka could feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. She had been longing to see Katy, to spend more time together and deepen their bond. As she knocked on the door, her heart raced, unsure of how Katy would react to her unexpected visit.
Katy, surprised to see Honoka standing at her doorstep, opened the door with a wide smile. "Honoka! What a pleasant surprise," she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Come on in, I was just preparing some tea."
Honoka stepped inside, feeling a rush of warmth as she entered Katy's cozy home. The familiar scent of vanilla and lavender filled the air, creating a serene atmosphere. They settled in the living room, surrounded by soft cushions and gentle music playing in the background.
As they sat together, Honoka explained the reason for her sudden visit. "Katy, I couldn't shake off this feeling that I needed to be with you today," she confessed, her voice filled with sincerity. "Our connection has grown so deep, and I realized that spending time with you is just as important as any exercise routine."
Katy's eyes welled up with tears of happiness, touched by Honoka's words. "Honoka, you have no idea how much it means to me that you feel the same way," she whispered, reaching out to hold Honoka's hand.
In that moment, they both knew that their decision to prioritize their friendship and love over other aspects of their lives was the right one. They had found solace, comfort, and a profound sense of belonging in each other's presence.
As the hours passed, Honoka and Katy laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed each other's company. They realized that true strength lies not only in physical exercise but also in the connections they forge with the people who bring light and love into their lives.
As the afternoon sun cast a warm glow over them, Honoka mustered up the courage to declare her feelings for Katy. Their laughter had subsided, leaving a moment of anticipation hanging in the air. Honoka took a deep breath, her heart pounding with a mix of nervousness and excitement.
"Katy," she began, her voice filled with love and vulnerability, "I want to be more than just friends. I want to be your girlfriend."
Katy's eyes widened, her heart skipping a beat. She had secretly hoped for this moment, but the fear of rejection had held her back from expressing her own feelings. The weight of her anticipation suddenly lifted, replaced by overwhelming joy.
"Oh, Honoka," Katy whispered, her voice quivering with emotion. "I've been longing for this too. Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!"
In that instant, a wave of pure happiness washed over them both. They leaned in towards each other, their lips meeting in a tender and passionate kiss. Time seemed to stand still as their connection deepened, sealing their love for one another.
It was the best kiss they had ever experienced, filled with the exhilaration of newfound love and the knowledge that their bond was now officially acknowledged. In that sweet moment, their worlds aligned, and they knew that their love story was just beginning. As they broke the kiss, their smiles mirrored each other's, their eyes reflecting the purest form of love and adoration. The world around them seemed to burst with vibrant colors, as if nature itself was celebrating their union. The lush greenery of the surrounding trees appeared more vibrant, the flowers more brilliant, and the sunlight filtering through the leaves took on a golden hue, matching the intensity of their emotions.
"Honoka..." Katy began, her gaze filled with affection and contentment. "Thank you."
Honoka smiled, leaning forward once again, giving Katy the greatest embrace possible.
"You're welcome, Katy," She responded, her voice full of love. "And thank you for letting me be the first girl to kiss you."
They held each other close, their bodies pressed together in a tight embrace, reveling in the warmth and comfort of their newfound love. Honoka could feel the steady beat of Katy's heart against her chest, a rhythmic reminder of their bond. It was as if their hearts were in sync, dancing to the same melody. "You're so hot, Katy..." Honoka murmured. "Do you know that?"
"Nope," Katy replied, her voice laced with mischief. "Only when you're near can I feel this kind of heat."
"You're so cheesy, you know that right? How does anyone resist your charms?"
Honoka's hands, still trembling with desire, found their way to Katy's hair, her fingers entwining in the silky strands, gently pulling her closer. "How about we find out?" She whispered, kissing the top of Katy's head.
When the two girls parted their lips, both were smiling widely with the biggest grins plastered across their faces. Honoka's heart swelled with immense love and gratitude for the woman before her. Katy's touch, soft yet firm, traced a trail of fire along Honoka's spine, leaving a trail of tingling sensations in its wake. Every touch, every caress, sent shivers of pleasure through their bodies, igniting a primal longing that surpassed words.
