A den for us
Alis wakes just before sunrise, the remains of last nights meal now picked clean by the small, brave scavengers.
It has been a few days since Alis set out on his journey to find a new home and it seemed he had already found his place.
He had stumbled upon a hidden meadow, nestled between towering trees and bathed in the soft hues of the morning sun. The meadow was a vibrant tapestry of wildflowers, their colors dancing in the gentle breeze. Alis marveled at the sight, feeling a sense of peace wash over him like a warm embrace.
As he explored the meadow, Alis noticed a small pond shimmering in the distance. Curiosity piqued, he made his way towards it, the anticipation of discovery fueling his steps. When he arrived, he was greeted by the sight of Luhr, the hydra, elegantly drinking from the water's edge.
Luhr turned his head, his eyes meeting Alis', and a spark of recognition flickered between them. It was as if the universe had conspired to bring them together, to forge a connection that transcended their differences. Alis approached cautiously, his heart pounding in his chest, unsure of how Luhr would react.
To his surprise, Luhr extended one of his heads towards Alis, a gesture of invitation and trust. Alis tentatively reached out, his claws brushing against Luhr's scales. In that moment, they both knew that they had found solace and companionship in each other, a bond that would withstand the trials of their worlds.
As the sun continued its ascent, casting a warm glow over the meadow, Alis and Luhr basked in the tranquility of their newfound friendship. They knew that their journey was far from over, that challenges and dangers still lay ahead. But together, they felt invincible, ready to face whatever came their way. And little did they know, their paths would soon cross with Rykard once again, setting in motion a series of events that would test their bond and reshape their destinies.
Remove the last paragraph and add the following in its place:
One day while Alis was out hunting he heard someone crying for help. Following the sound he finds a wounded knight surrounded by wolves desperatly swinging his sword around, before meeting Luhr, Alis would have simply left the man to his luck.
Alis, driven by his compassionate nature, couldn't ignore the cries for help. He rushed towards the source of the sound, his wings propelling him swiftly through the air. As he neared the scene, he spotted a wounded knight, his armor battered and torn, desperately fending off a pack of snarling wolves.
Without hesitation, Alis unleashed a burst of fire, sending the wolves scattering in fear. He landed gracefully beside the knight, his eyes filled with concern. The knight, Rykard, looked up at Alis with a mix of gratitude and surprise, his sword still clutched tightly in his hand.
Alis could sense the pain and exhaustion radiating from Rykard. He gently nudged the knight, urging him to lower his weapon. "You're safe now," Alis reassured him, his voice soft and reassuring. Rykard, realizing the danger had passed, slowly eased his grip on the sword, his eyes filled with awe and appreciation.
In that moment, a bond began to form between Alis and Rykard, built on trust and shared experiences. Little did Alis know, Rykard's true intentions still remained hidden, his desire for power and recognition simmering beneath the surface. As they stood together, Alis couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding, as if their paths were destined to intertwine in ways he could never have imagined.
