An Old Friend

After killing Francis Dolarhyde aka the Red Dragon together, they rested and recouped in Bedelia du Maurier's home. After getting their strength back, Will and Hannibal ran away together with the help of Chiyoh, to Havana, Cuba. There, they started a romantic relationship with each other and adopted a dog they named Encephalitis, Cephi for short. One weekend, Will and Hannibal were taking a romantic stroll through a Cuban marketplace.

Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter walked hand-in-hand down the winding streets of Havana while enjoying the warm breeze that whispered past them. They had been living comfortably in Bedelia du Maurier's home since their last adventure, resting and recouping together before embarking on another journey. After gaining enough strength to continue on their own, they decided it was time to start anew - away from the prying eyes of those who wanted them dead or behind bars. With help from Chiyoh, they made arrangements to flee to Cuba where they could live freely without fear for now.
As they strolled through the bustling marketplace teeming with people, sights, sounds, and smells, Will couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment that he hadn't felt in years. He had found love again, may never happen after losing his family so tragically. And here beside him, holding tightly onto his hand was none other than Hannibal Lecter - his partner in crime solving and life itself, it seemed. Together they explored the different vendors, trying new foods and marveling at the exotic wares on display. It truly was as romantic getaway for them both.
However, their blissful moment together was short-lived once Will spotted an old friend lurking in the shadows. Jack Crawford stood there watching them intently with a look of determination etched across his face. He had come all this way to bring them back to Baltimore where they would likely be confined into mental health facilities due to public scrutiny over their past actions. But despite that, neither Will nor Hannibal wanted to go quietly without putting up a fight first, even if it meant resorting to drastic measures. They knew too well what being locked away did to one's psyche and they refused to let anyone take away their autonomy again, especially not after all they had been through together.
As the two lovers navigated their way out of the marketplace with Jack close on their heels, they couldn't help but wonder how much longer they could keep running before they had no choice but to face whatever came next head-on. For now though, they continued down the winding streets hand in hand enjoying every moment together as they still could - knowing that it could be the last time they ever walked free.

"Is he still following us?" Will whispered to Hannibal

Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter walked through the crowded streets of Havana without saying a word for fear that anyone might overhear them. The tension was palpable between them both, fueled by Jack Crawford's relentless pursuit of their capture or imprisonment into mental health facilities. Even though they were safe within Chiyoh's protection for now, they knew the agent wouldn't give up easily, not after losing one of his most valuable profilers in Francis Dolarhyde. And so, they remained vigilant despite the exhaustion from running away.
As they continued to weave around the busy marketplace and tourist spots alike, Will couldn't help but feel a sense of uneasiness as he kept checking behind him for any signs that Jack was indeed still tailing them. He didn't want to let on how worried he truly was about their safety or the prospect of returning back home where everything seemed so bleak before. But deep down within him lurked an ever-present anxiety over what awaited their return should they get caught.
Hannibal felt it too - his partner's tension seeping through every pore of his being. And so, without saying anything out loud, Hannibal reached over and took Will's hand once again in a comforting gesture that spoke volumes beyond mere words. It was as if his very touch could alleviate any fears lingering within him, promising that no matter what came next, he would be there by Will's side through thick or thin.
As the evening fell upon them with the setting sun casting warm yellows and oranges across the skyline, they made their way to Chiyoh's safehouse where they knew they would be safe until morning. But even then, they couldn't help but feel like this respite from Jack Crawford wasn't permanent enough given how long he had been tailing them before. They both knew that it was only a matter of time before fate caught up with them once more and when it did - they would have no choice but to face whatever came next head

"Relax, love," Hannibal soothed Will's worries. "I've got this. Good evening, Jack. Fancy seeing you here, of all places. Quite picturesque, isn't it? How have you been, Jack?" Hannibal turned to smile smugly at Jack, confidently facing the Black Head of FBI unflinchingly.

Hannibal Lecter stood tall before his former colleague and friend turned foe, a smirk playing on he taunted Agent Crawford with ease. Despite everything they had gone through together in their last case involving Francis Dolarhyde, he knew that deep down within him lurked a spark of admiration for Jack - albeit tempered by resentment over being forced into taking him down after the man's murderous rampage was exposed to the public eye. But still, Hannibal remained composed even when faced with such daunting situations like this one where both sides were at odds with each other.
"Good evening," Will chimed in quietly behind them as he observed the tense standoff from afar. He couldn't help but feel conflicted about how his own actions had brought all this on their heads - putting not only himself or Jack Crawford but everyone around them at risk of harm through their dangerous pursuits. And yet here they stood again, fighting a battle that didn't have to be waged if not for personal demons and societal expectations weighing heavy upon them.
However, neither Jack nor Hannibal appeared willing to back down from each other easily, both resolute in their positions until one finally relented in some way, shape, or form. As the night stretched out before them with no signs of either side giving ground just yet, Will found himself feeling lost amidst all these machinations being played out in front of him - unable to find any sense of comfort despite his partner holding tightly onto his hand. It was as though he had been thrust into a world where danger lurked around every corner, leaving him vulnerable and scared even if they were surrounded by allies who promised protection.
Suddenly, Chiyoh's voice broke through the silence, her strong Japanese accent cutting sharply through their tension-filled conversation. "Both you are too stubborn for your own good," she scolded them both with an amused smile before turning serious once more. "Will and Hannibal must face truth soon - there is no escaping this fate forever." And with that, she disappeared back inside
